I'm appalled at this ridiculous overreaction to Michael Jackson's death when the whole world is teetering on the edge of a final meltdown.

The thing is, neither the government nor the media nor the giant fascist corporations WANT you to think about any of the real issues. They want to divert your attention with celebrity gossip and other such irrelevant nonsense so that they can go on doing all sorts of greedy, nasty, horrible things without facing the consequences. And the sad thing is...they're succeeding.
