Beavis and Butt-Head Return to Promote "Extract."

That's the same exact animation they used for the VMAs several years ago (they're extras on the DVDs). Once again, Beavis' voice sounds slightly off.

Sounds like Mike Judge is overdoing the voice a little bit, kind of overacting. Or maybe he just can't do it like he used to. :(

Butt-Head sounds spot on though.

I don't really mind Beavis' voice being a little off, it's just fun to see those wacky characters again. They should do these kind of videos on a regular basis, I say.

Just an idea... but maybe he's trying to make Beavis sound more 'serious' like a masterpiece theater VA would be?

Maybe that's why it sounds off. Because when he's doing the little 'yeah, that's right' type of dialogue it still sounds the same. as does his laugh.

It does seem like he was being 'in character' there. Of course Judge probably hasn't done Beavis in such a long while he's probably showing some sign of age in the voice but I could be wrong about that. Interesting if that was the same animation they had from a previous VMA sequence, but I guess it saved on doing anything new as long as they kept re-animating those drawings.

Cool, thanks for sharing that :). I really miss Beavis & Butthead, used to be one of my favorite shows. Breakin' the law, breakin' the law ;)

Butthead's voice has always cracked me up, even when he's talking nonsense

Judge has recently been seriously considering bringing Beavis & Butt-head back whether it's in new animated shorts or a movie. So, we can only keep our fingers crossed.

Interesting clip. I did notice a significant change in Beavis's voice as mentioned previously. It wasn't so much off, but Beavis sounding just a tad more intelligent then usual.

If Mike Judge does reboot Beavis and Butthead, I'd like to see more of a storyline than a string of events tied in with a slew of Music Videos with an MST3K-like commentary, mocking the videos in question. I never really liked the music video formula and quickly got lost with the story because of that.

I agree. I never did like Music Videos, especially the bands that they showcased. I prefer storylines or having them rip on something else other than music.

I ended up having to rent that movie, and I regretted not seeing that movie in theaters. I regretted it even more after seeing the South Park movie in theaters. It was fun hearing everyone in the audience crack up, and I'm sure it would have been just as great when watching Beavis and Butt-head Do America in theaters.

I actually liked the music videos. Some of their commentaries on the videos were as funny as hell to me.

It's true to argue you can get tired of that formula that was used before. I wouldn't mind something new that could be done with the guys if it held my attention a little.
