For school we have a poetry assignment (write a 100 line ballad). I've been having trouble with ideas and finally decided on retelling a myth or legend. I've already put down the Crane Wife (Japanese) and Psyche and Cupid (Greek) down as some ideas. Are there any other myths or legends that I could use (maybe something sad or romantic, nothing spooky please because I don't think I can do scary in a poem)?
