In honor of Shout! Factory's dvd release on June 7th 2011, this is the Talkback for Beast Wars Season One.
As a kid in the 80's, I was a huge Transformers fan. And Beast Wars was exactly the show that I could've ever hoped for to continue my love of Transformers. The first season wasn't by any means perfect. Especially in the early episodes, the fighting scenes needed some improvement. The animation was very choppy and not fluid. But as the first season moved along, it seemed to get better. The stories improved as the season went along as well. Gone was the days of huge seasons consisting of stand alone episodes. This season consisted of twenty six episodes that told a very good ongoing story. Shout! Factory has provided a much more affordable way to watch this show than the previous dvd release. I would definitely recommend this series to newer Transformers fans who haven't previously seen this show.
