Yep, the 90 second update usually featuring after East Enders. I really find the newsreader Ellie Crisell cringeworthy, I don't know why. She's roughly the same age as me, but she looks like an annoying teen (no offense.
News is supposed to come across a little more serious with 'real women' presenting them. It seems a little too glamourised and in appropriately, a feature at the wrong part of the evening - when people are enjoying their supper/evening meal and enjoying for example, a nice bottle of vino or a few beers.
I just don't like it and I want rid. The 90 update is pointless.
Anybody agree here?

Don't get me wrong, I like my news, but I don't see the purpose of devising a 90 seconf update. Prime time tv is about entertainment and at that point, it's about escapism from the everyday trials and tribulations. Why should we be re-reminded on what some of us have already seen?
It seems like some sort of fast food takeaway on the go and you have to remember that the news is real-life not fictional yet Ellie Crisell makes the point of laping this up as if she's drawing out the numbers for the National Lottery on a Saturday Night. She loves herself reading the news and it's time she was axed - just my views on this!
