BB9700, TP2, Cliq, something else? help!

So my two year contract is finally about to end and I've decided on sticking with T-Mobile for another two year contract. I've been looking at their list of phones and have sort of narrowed it down to those three phones. I'm looking for something that's very solid. By that I mean that since I will be in a two year contract, I'd like the phone to still be great by the end of said contract.

I'd like a phone that's great for all forms of communication (texts, e-mail, call quality, etc.) I also tend to browse the internet a lot(facebook, digg, etc.) so I'd like a phone that would be easy/fast to use for those things. I know the the BB9700 doesn't seem to have the best browser, but I hear that RIM is working on a fix for that, so is it worth it to get the 9700 and wait for the update?

The TP2 looks great, though it seems a bit too bulky for my tastes, how have you guys who have the TP2 felt about it's size as well as it's responsiveness with regards to the touch screen and the app run times?

The Cliq seems like a pretty good social networking phone, and I really like the fact that it runs on Android, though issues of responsiveness/speed sort of pushed me away from it.

All in all, which phone do you guys think would be great for communication and web browsing? Also, I'm not too big on apps, but I really want a phone that will have apps that I will use (maps, weather, yelp, movies, etc).

Thanks to everyone for helping me with this choice. I've been pretty torn on a decision for a while now. :buddies:

Browsing on any Blackberry is less than impressive, having a touch screen to browse the web makes everything better.

The the CLIQ is nice but I wonder about the sliding mechanism, and MotoBLUR - I'm not a fan.

Have you considered the MT3G and the onscreen keyboard?

The TP2 is very bulky feeling compared to my iPhone (good in hand feel) , and it WM isn't the best.

If I was going for a primary T-Mobile device to surf the web and junk it would probably be something with Android on it.

I've looked at a few reviews of the MT3G though the main problem seems to be the onscreen keyboard. I don't really mind a virtual keyboard, as long as it's easy to use as well as very responsive, which seems to be an issue for the MT3G. I'm wondering if this was fixed in a recent Android update maybe??

I've pretty much eliminated the Cliq and TP2 as I didn't like the Cliq's MotoBLUR thing and the TP2 was a bit too big for my tastes.

Upon researching more about the BB9700 and my worries about it's browser, I've found out that I can install Opera Mobile and/or BOLT, which feature full web pages. I understand the experience won't be as good as a big touch screen, but I was wondering if anyone had tried out Opera Mobile or BOLT to tell me how they feel about it. Apparently flash works on those browsers, but I'd like to know your opinions.

Thanks again for the great help. =)

You can install the Hero's keyboard on the MT3G and that's supposed to improve things.

As for the browser, I don't know.. I'm sure someone does though. Just speaking from personal experience, trying to use the browser on any phone leaves me pawing at the screen, trying to zoom in haha - so I'm a bit spoiled in that aspect. I think someone would be able to adapt to web on a BB.

I would not go with the BB. Every single day I browse on the bb I want to throw it out my window and run it over with my car.
The only reason why I havent sold it is because I havent decided which phone to get next. That being said, typing on the bb is great. But really, other than bbm and email they are pretty boring.

The apps for bbs are just ok, nothing compared to android.

I know it may not help much, but if you wanna browse, from my experience, if you dont have ALOT of patience bb isnt the way to go.

hmm...thanks very very much for all the input. Now I'm leaning more towards the MT3G. Just one last question, will the MT3G be able to keep up with the android updates?
