BB to Android question

OK so I know you have to get a data plan when you buy a smartphone with T Mobile and I already have BIS on my 8900. My question is: if I switch to an android phone like the MTS, does that require a different data package? I want to be able to swap out the SIM and still have full functionality if I need to and if I have to pay for two seperate data plans I'll just go with the 9700.

Thanks in advance everyone!

If you're switching phones you drop the Blackberry data plan and pick up a new data plan - probably about the same price. You'll keep the same number (if you want to,) get a new SIM if you need one and get the full functionality of the Android, which is somewhat different from the Blackberry. You would only have to have two data plans if you kept the 8900 AND got the android phone.

That is true. I actually switched from Blackberry to Android. The data plans are very close to if not the exact same price. The SIM card will be swapped out, but you will not lose your data on it. T-Mobile can transfer it over for you. Just realize that the android system is quite different than the blackberry system. It takes getting used to. If you use outlook regularly i.e. tasks and notes, you may want to reconsider beacuse the android does not sync tasks and notes directly with outlook at this time.
