battery pack placed after surgery in 08 was left in.

I had roRAB placed in my spine for l4 and l5 in 98 along with a battery that was to promote healing that should have been removed after 3 months but because the doctor wanted to see if the surgery was going to take told me to leave it in and wait and see. Well long story short it was never removed. lately I have been feeling pain in that area in my spine again so I called my doctors office that did the surgery and after they said they would reserch thru my recorRAB now will not return my phone calls. Im a little nervios that they know something I should know but are not telling me. < edited >
