Recently, I tried to recharge my laptop(this laptop is a really old 2000 dell model). The light flickered on the charger. I was curious what it was I smelled a really bad fume which I think/thought was coming from the battery, kind of scared, I unplugged the wire from the charger and put the laptop back in it's bag I took out the battery to find out it was Lithium, so I wasn't worried about poisoning or anything but I was still curious what the smell was? does lithium make that smell? or was it the circuit board, it smelt electrical I am using my brothers laptop now not wanting to attempt to get my own even if I wanted to fix it, it's not worth it because it's so old. But as I said I'd still like to know what was causing the smell.
Battery failure? (strange smell)?
