I have a 2002 Dodge Stratus and I have replaced the battery with a brand new one and have done this 3 times in the last year. I feel like it might have something to do with my ignition switch because it will not turn all the way back where I can hear the radio, etc while the car isn't running. But it does shut fully off. Cables are fine, alternator is good, could it be the ignition switch?

Clamp a 12 volt light between the positive cable and the battery so all the current has to go thru the light. Do not start the car. but if the light even glows you are looking at the drain. Put the switch in off position and see if the light is on with all acc. off and doors closed with door switches working properly. If the switch allows the light to come on then it is probably the switch. If for some reason the light stays on or dim with the switch unplugged start pulling fuses until the light goes out. If that doesnt work then maybe you need a electrical tech to look.
