battery drain 2001 pontiac grand am?

my radio is hot all the time so that means theres power going to my deck i believe which means theres power to my amp im sure which equals big drain unless wire harness stops the power right there and doesnt let it go through until ignition switch is on my deck doesnt turn on until ignition is on and wont even turn on by button until its on got any ideas? if thats the drain or not I know i need to start doing volt check by pulling fuses just wondered if any other grand am owners experienced something similar
