Batman forever- what crap!

I remember watching Batman forever long long time ago and thinking, "it aint as bad as people say it is".......However watching it tonight again on Five, i change my mind.

What a total insult to Tim Burtons classic two originals! I absultely hated it to the core. It lost its dark, quirky feel and has instead turned into a cartoon.

I swear there should be a law against showing this drivel on t.v.! Lord i bet Nichole Kidman regrets making this dump.

On the other hand the new Batman movie keeps on looking better and better as the production progresses! Roll on summer 2005:D ;)

It's not in the same league bad as Batman and Robin. I think if there's just been that one and the franchise had got back on track it wouldn't look quite so bad now as it does.

Having said that Jim Carrey is about as miscast as The Riddler as anyone I've ever seen. They should've renamed his character 'The Twat'.

Kelsey Grammer would've made a good Riddler.

The only saving grce of that movie was the score by Elliot Goldenthal, although still crap compared to Danny Elfman's previous 2 scores.

If you've ever seen the Batman:Animated Series episode "LegenRAB of the Dark Knight", there's a bit of a dig at Joel Schumacher.

In the episode, 3 kiRAB are discussing what they think Batman looks like, when they run into another kid who thinks Batman "wears a tight rubber suit and his car can drive up walls", to which the other kiRAB reply "Shut Up Joel"

It wasn't Clooney's fault. It was 100% the fault of Joel Schumacher and his vision for the film.

"Yes, I know what to do. Take this dark gothic artwork that Tim Burton made and create bubblegum crap"

Christian Bale is the the New batman isn't he?

The problem with all other none Tim Burton associated Batmans is, at the helm are people that think they are making an action movie.

Pluuuuuuuuuueeeeeze don't watch it - I BEG OF YOU! WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN

...and if you don't yet have children, then watching B&R is guarenteed to make you sterile...

Does this mean that I missed the showing of the first Batman? I'd also appreciate a showing of the 1960's Batman movie if you're listening Five!

Yes, They've shown all four modern Batman movies after this Sundays airing of the awful Batman and Robin...

As for the new film... the confirmed casting so far is....

Christian Bale - Batman/Bruce Wayne
Michael Caine - Alfred
Cillian Murphy - Unknown but rumoured to be the Scarecrow

Christian Bale has also been bulking up for the role and now has a neck as thick as my overweight thighs!! He looks HUGE!

To be honest i think Schumacher was trying to add a bit of the 60s version of Batman which really is not a good idea but they werent that bad i have seen worse!! (Resident Evil being one)

Did anyone getting attacked in Resident Evil resort in a "boing" sound on the soundtrack?

No!

Batman is a fantasy story based in reality, and Schumacher turned it into a farce...

You can't give Schumacher all the blame, Warner Bros wanted the film to get a lower cert so they could sell merchendise that was really all the films were for. I still hate Batman and Robin, I was so looking forward to Bane being in the film after reading the comics where he breaks batman's back but they just made him some stupid big creature. If you want to see the best Batman film hunt down Batman:Mask of the Phantasm, an excellent animated movie.
