I just installed a new JVC HDR60 head unit into my 98 camry. Bass with the stock head unit was pretty good (shook the rear view mirror), but now the new radio has horrible bass. I maxed the Bass EQ out on the stereo, but the bass still can't compare with the factory radio. Why is this? I thought the new radio would improve the existing bass? Help!
Thanks, but I already tried that test and the R and L sound the same. F and R are the same as well. =(
Everything in the car is stock besides the head unit. The only amp is the one built in the new head unit. Also everything should be wired correctly.EX- I attached the wires according to the colors and the stripes. So I attached red with white stripe with red with white stripe etc.
The stereo does have a crossover for low, mid, and high frequencies, but it can not be turned off. Also I switched through all three and there is no difference in bass between them.
Hmm. well I used an adapter for installation so I didn't wire directly to the Toyota wires. I attached the stereo to the adapter and then plugged the adapter into the Toyota inpput.
