Hi my friend gave me his 5-7 year old samick electronic bass guitar (4 string, active, j style pickups, made in korea, blah, blah) a few months ago. its lyk 7 lears old (so old its not even on the samick web site's product list) so I decided it needed a paint job, on just the front of the head.(it looks like its 15 years old) I think I will use shades of two colours, Im 90% sure i wont mess it up beause I was pretty good at art back in high school. but I dunno what paint / glaze i should use. any other tips would be thankful. Btw Im just painting the front of the top part of the guitar, called the 'head' if any of you muititalented ppl know oh and the head is aleady glazed. and umm i think i would be better to put a layer of glaze over the paint i will apply, but i dont know what kind. it (glaze) has to be kinda weather proof, splashproof, (easy), permanent, must not crack or dent easily etc. and the paint should be smooth with minimum brush marks. oh and should I use a sponge instead of a brush? or maybe a spray can instead of paint??
