Alrigth every savy bass angler knows about fish migrating in the water through the season. The most difficult for some is summer to fall, to winter. My question is this. Do fish start there mig. because of the big temp. change or does something else cause it? I think day light cause's them to move more than temp. Just like the rutt when it comes to deer. Let me know what you think....good fishing

i like your line of thinking but i'm pretty sure that it all depends on temperature for fish of any species. good fishing to you too! man, if everyone fished we wouldn't have war.

That is hard to say. I think from a short term standpoint, temp. changes or fluctuations effect the pattern from a day to day basis, but I think when fish decide to migrate to their fall spots, they tend to move due to the changes in daylight. They also have a biological clock that they use to pattern their routines from a yearly basis. This is the same thing for warm blooded animals that hibernate.

This is a difficult question. Depending on the season of the year, bass tends to move based on several contributing factors. Temperature changes, oxygen levels, the amount of food available and any combination of this affects where bass might be holding from one season to the next. And these movements can and will differ from lake to lake as well as day to day. Just because the were there yesterday doesn't mean they'll be in the same spot today. Basically any of these factors can determine where bass will be. The hard part is finding them and making them bite...
