Basketall can I still draw a foul if....?

If i pump fake. defender bites, I LIGHTLY bump into him and shoot after the bump or do i have to jump at the guy like some people do cuz i have seen in the NBA people really JUMP at the person so if i bump then shoot will i get and AND1 or will they say the shot was to long after the foul?
