This'll be long. Um so I know this girl because she's two guys on my cross country's team sister. Months before I would talk to them about her, but I never talked to her like ever so it was funny, she thought so. Lately I've become interested though, so I copied three of Bruno Mars' songs, said I wrote it, and it was inspired by her. I made it really obvious I copied it so it would be funny, like I was trying so hard. She thought it was funny and sweet and that she liked it. I put my number there and like "call/text my phone sweet thang 
<3". She didn't call, but it might just be because we don't know each other that well, idk?
She always says hi to me when i see her now, it might be as a joke. I asked her if my protect your nuts shirt was funny and she said it was adorable. She is Christian and pretty nice/confident, so it might only be because of that factor.
She's a sophomore and I'm a freshman in high school. There is also some senior guy who's my friend on my cross team that likes her. He has journalism with her and more chances to talk to her since he can drive also, and they hang out sometimes. Her brother told him first then later me that she would never like us/we're not her type, but for me I think it's him protecting her because anytime I ever said anything about her he got offended/protective.
Based on this, should I still go for it and try to talk to her or should I just let it play out with them? I would rather disarm him and get her, I'm not really one for just sitting back, I'd rather get what I want in life then just sit back. I need opinions though. Also should I try to bring up in a funny way how she didn't text me so like I wrote ten more songs for her? Idk
