Okay so I know that if a batter hits the ball and it hits the runner then it counts as interference and the runner is out. But... what happens to the batter? As a runner, could I basically catch the ball and it count as interference and I was out, but could I throw the ball way out in left field to allow the batter to have his way with the bases? What rule exactly would prevent that?
