bars,saloons,lounges allow customers to drink til falling down drunk?

i thought these places were required to refuse more orders after customer is obviously drunk?
 
most reputable places for insurance and other legalities can and do refuse to serve fall down drunks and the bartender does use judgment don't drink and drive nor get into a car w/ a drunk
 
Yes, in Illinois it is against the law to serve an already impaired person alcohol. The bar/restaurant/tavern can lose their liquor license. Many areas require that anyone serving alcohol go through training (Bassett or Tips) and be certified in alcohol awareness. Fo me, it's not worth the few dollars to risk someone's life or my liquor license.
 
Maybe they care more about the money then the health and well being of the customer?
