Barretts at 27!

I just got the results of my egd and it showed Barretts with no dysplasia and mild inflammation. I also have chronic gastritis.Isn't 27 a little young for all this? Anyone else with it? I am scrared but actually relieved as well because they diagnosed my swallowing problem. I thought this whole time it was my ja but actually it was my GERD. I am completely changing my diet and lifestyle. I am so freaked out that I may get cancer. I just hope between the meRAB and the diet I can control this thing.
 
Sorry to hear about your dx. I too an 27 and have barrets esophagus. Yes, I was scared at first but now I don't really think about it. Diet doesnt seem to help my problem at all, sometimes eating healthy makes it worse, ie salaRAB and soups. I really don't have an answer on how to cure this illness.
