I went on a weekend cruise this weekend for my daughter who is 6, so she can get exposed to different things. Anyways, the trip did not go as planned, because when I first booked it i was feeling good, and of course a week ago, something happened to my back again. I could not even walk on the ship, even with my cane, they had to wheel me on and off the boat. Walking to different areas on the boat was pure torture, I could not stand the pain, it was so bad all i could do was cry. My bro and sis, did not undertstand why I just sent my daughter to kid camp and stayed in the room or lounged most of the time. It had nothing to do with them, but I think they took it personal, I just could not do it. When we got to mexico I did not dare get off that boat, stayed on it the whole time.

I mean what I am going through, I pray to God goes away. It is life altering, anyone else with these type of experiences?:(

KK - no one can really understand your actions because they have not lived a day in your shoes. In the end what matters is that you made it thru, relaxed a little, received some pampering and your daughter probably had a blast!

I am sorry you are hurting so badly.

:(Wish I could afford to take my daughters on a cruise . :(

Sorry your time on the ship was painful Mom , it stinks when that happens.
Hope ya got things under control . I don't blame ya for not getting off the ship.. That probably would of been the last thing you did.. May have been in the ER during your vacations instead..

KK that was such a wonderful thing you did for your daughter even though you paid for it with more pain. I hope you did get some rest and I am sure your daughter had a great time, too. No one understanRAB our pain unless they have been there themselves. I tried working in some of my flowers today and I am paying for it tonight. I know I shouldn't have but I love to garden. Take care of yourself and take it easy for a few days or more.

Gentle Hugs

Are you in my house right now?? :D So what exactly are they doing for you? Did you get a referral outside your HMO?

That might have been a good thing - they would have had to given her a referral outside of the insurance company.

OH YES, taking a trip is always so anxiety provoking!
I'm always so worried I will have a flare up right before, and will suffer through the entire trip.
And when I'm packing for the trip, I know how even that can bring on a problem. Then there's unpacking once you get there, and air ports and air planes- I could go on and on.....
Travel is difficult-

Thanks you all, yes my baby had a great time, even though I thought I was dying literally, I wish something could ease this pain, it never goes away, it makes me cranky and irritable and I hate being like that. And as far as the packing and unpacking lets put it like this, i still have the stuff in the car, I have no real help here at home, so I have to wait for someone to do it. My house is a mess and I have no strength or energy to even attempt to clean.
