Barack Obama to close concentration camp at Guantánamo, but will he close the

concentration camp which is Gaza? We read that while Barack Obama cannot find a voice to condem the Israeli attrocities in Gaza, he has at least found the voice to announce the closing of one of America's atrocities - the concentration camp at Guantánamo. So having started with Guantánamo, will he force the Israeli's to close the concentration camp that is now Gaza ?

What? You want him to close down Gaza? What about all the people there?

Gaza is not American territory, Guantanamo is. Anyway, don't get excited he already muttered "it ain't an easy task".
They need to rehouse the Prisoners in more mainstream jails - that has to be a logisitical nightmare.

Economy first. Guantanamo... sometime 2010.

PS. Neither are concentration camps. Look up Treblinka or Auscwich. They are concentration camps.

No. The terrorists are better there than loose in the world killing innocent people who just happen not to be muslims.

The best for place for Hamas and its fans is Gaza. No one else wants them anyway.

Two things wrong with what you are saying:

1) Gaza is not a concentration camp

2) Gaza is being controlled by ISRAEL, NOT THE UNITED STATES.

Okay, pay attention.
Obama is not the president yet.
He will not be the president until January 20, 2009, at noon.
That's next Tuesday.
I'm sure he'll have plenty to say then.

If he was issuing orders and making pronouncements now, all you people would jump all over him because HE'S NOT THE PRESIDENT YET.

Furthermore, no US president has any authority to close anything in Gaza.

I'm wondering why you never address the complicity of the Arabs and Persians in this continuing conflict. The Arabs want no part of Palestinian refugees because they fear the cost and possible political destabilization that an influx of such people might cause in their own nations. The Persians want the Palestinians to continue to suffer as this furthers their plans for regional domination.

He can close Guantanamo. He can stop all American financial support for Israel. Without American support, the present racist state of Israel cannot continue to function.

Back to the grauniad again, and back with the same question with different letters.
