Banned episodes that didn't deserve to be banned

There are a lot of Banned episodes of cartoons, but there are some banned episodes that did not DESERVE to be banned
Cases in point: The Bonkers Episode "New Partners on the Block" It was banned in 1995 or 2001 depending on who you ask because the villian of the episode is a bomber but that same episode is important for that is a transitional episode briging the Lucky Piquel and Miranda Wright arcs of the show. Another episode that DIDN't DESERVE TO BE BANNED is the Darkwing Duck episode "Hot Spells" as the characters don't say the "H" word. and the Beavis and Butthead episode "Washing the Dog" as it was very funny but it got banned because Beavis and Butthead put the dog in the dryer before they go inside the dryer themselves (Though it appeared in the 1st Volume of the Mike Judge Collection DVD!) Does anyone know other BANNED episodes that DIDN'T DESERVE TO BE BANNED?
 
You probably have - Nickelodeon was allowed to air "Toons From the Crypt" when they got the rights to TTA. In case you're curious, the third short in the episode was "Concord the Kindly Condor".

Nick also had "Elephant Issues", but I think they only aired it once. Since I distinctly remember seeing that episode on Nickelodeon, I guess I should consider myself lucky.
 
Gargoyales episode "Deadly Force": An episode that showed the consequences of guns by one of the gargoyales accidentily shooting Elisa. This episode debuted once on television and never aired again. It can be found on Gargoyales Season 1 DVD.
 
The Tex Avery short "Bad Luck Blackie" was banned a while ago, but I'm not sure if it still is. There's nothing offensive in this short to get it banned. It's about a small white kitten who is picked on by a pitbull, so he hires a black cat to give the pitbull bad luck. I'm assuming it was banned due to the word "blackie" in the title, which is kinda lame because it reffers to a black cat. There arn't even any humans in the short, if I remember correctly.
 
Invader Zim "Door 2 Door" - It basically had Zim showing a family a virtual scene of the Irken Armada destorying New York City in an attempt to sell candy. But because of 9/11, they didn't air it on that friday and replaced it with a Fairly Oddparents episode. They did make a different scene for it but when Nick aired it, they accidently showed the original scene! :sweat: After that, Nick aired the edited scene from now on.(And they didn't put the original scene on the DVD...)

I guess they banned it since people didn't want to get offended after what after on 9/11, but when I saw the original version, I didn't feel offended...(And I'm sorry if anyone's mad for that...:sweat: )
 
I think it won't air in the US for 3 reasons:
1. The Gnome was worshipped as a God.
2. The People of Townsville formed a cult to him.
3. The Gnome commits suicide at the end.
 
One that deserved to be banned was one of the Pokeman eps..Don't know the name, but after its showing in Japan, it caused four to five thousand cases of seisures that occured because of some kind of special lighting effects used during the ep

There was an ep of Animaniacs...Siskel and Ebert...was pulled after Siskel died...I think that was in good taste,and the correct thing to do (that is taking it off as being respectful of Siskel) .....although it was as funnny as any.

Also there was an ep, I think it was called "Windser Hassel" Made fun of the Queen Elizabeth II..I think they banned that one, but that one certainly didn't deserve to be banned,

There was an ep of Histeria, that dealt with the United Nations...I think it was taken off roataition cause Ted Turner's , who had a major stake in Warner's at the time, his wife (Jane Fonda) didn't like Histeria, poking fun at the U.N..Note:.(She is no longer his wife, and Turner no longer has a stake in Warner Bros..).

A very sad ep of Animaniacs may have also been taken out of rotation..Slappy was in an old people's home with a lot of her old friends..in the future..they were locked up there...not sure about it...It may have played a couple of times..
It is a real downer..and shows the terrible treatment of old people in nursing homes...... I think it worked, but was not at all funny, it too may have been taken out of the rotation, possibly banned..................Don't have cable..
so, I am not sure of these...don't know what they are showing and not showing, except I am sure about the Pokeman ep, that was actually dangerous to watch.......................................Stuart
 
The reality is that standards change over time and vary from country to country. US had no problem with turtles as TMNinjas in the 80s... Britain had TMHero Turtles
 
The Dexter series Dial M for Monkey short "Barbequor" was banned soon after the first airing because apparently Marvel had a fit over the Silver Spooner and obvious gay version of the Silver Surfer.

The Cow and Chicken shorts "No Smoking" and "Buffalo Girls" were both banned because they dealt with cigarette smoking and lesbians, respectively.

And of course there's the Spumco Ren and Stimpy episode "Man's Best Friend", which is pretty tame in the face of alot of the later Games stuff. The fifth season short "Sammy and Me" was banned thanks to some controversy surrounding a glass eye.

And finally a Rocko's Modern Life episode "Leap Frogs" was banned because of more adult subject matter.

There's the famous "Censored 11" - eleven Looney Tunes shorts that are NOT allowed to be shown on television nor are permitted to be released on video or DVD. The two most well known examples are the Bugs Bunny short "All This and Rabbit Stew" and the Bob Clampett classic "Coal Black and De Sebben Dwarfs".
 
No offense, but I'm kinda glad that was banned, and I'm glad that the Coal Black one was too. I don't know what I'd do if I saw that as a kid. ( I guess that's just the world, anyway. ) I mean, when watching Bugs Bunny cartoons when I was younger, I never would've thought those guys were really like that. I never thought the blackface thing was meant to be racist....
 
Yeah, I didn't think much of the blackface thing until a few weeks ago, when I watched the Bugs Bunny cartoon with Elmer Fudd...and I always wondered why the ending was cut off right after "I wish I was in Dixie, hurray, hurray..." and now I know.

I wasn't insulted in the least, but my mentality was like "Wow, that was so racist it was funny." Not ha-ha funny but that other type of ha-ha.
 
That glass eye thing is the dumbest reason to ban something. If they were going to ban it for ANYTHING, it should've been for the mantis eating the characters' heads while they were still living.

Apparently "Reverend Jack Cheese" was also banned at one time (due to religious overtones), but it doesn't seem to be anymore, since I recently saw it on NickToons.
 
I'll be the first to say it: The Family Guy episode "When You Wish Upon A Weinstein" didn't deserved to be banned,becuase they went out of their way to say it's wrong to sterotype groups of people. The episode even had the blessing of a few Rabbis. Fox just got cold feet,that's all.
