I've been ordered by the court in California to pay restitution. Can I file for bankruptcy? If yes then how do I go about doing this. If not what options do I have. Do they offer a payment plan, etc..... please explain the whole deal because I don't want to get in worse trouble then I'm in.

Thank you and god bless

Thank you,

Generally, no can do. These types of things are not usually dischargeable in bankruptcy.

But you may be able to work out a payment plan to pay the restitution.
