yeah, didn't you hear that bernanke is keeping the rates artificially low for fear of china?

something about if he raised the rates we go broke, fast.

And it was that capital that the corporations put out first that gave the people a job. If the people were motivated, they wouldn't need a corporation to give them a job, they would own their own company and bust their ass on their own and they could have all the money ... but they don't.

So spare me the "evil corporation" line. People like you talk about "profit sharing", but never talk about "profit AND LOSS sharing". You only want the perks but no possibilities of losing your shirt and not getting paid. Corporations who employ people have to be ready to stick it out, through up times and down times, and keep going. For that, they deserve to keep more money.

And yes, it may sound communistic, but that is because secretly, you are ... or at least a Liberal.

The interest rates are at virtually 0% because the USG can't afford to pay higher interest rates on its bonRAB.

We are in this mess because of big government spending over the last thirty years.

China has little of our money right now, they only hold 6% of our debt. It has nothing to do with them in particular.

Corporations are not spending their capital due to the uncertainty of the costs of new regulations. The strong arm of the Fed is attempting to force them to spend. The large banks will take orders from the Fed, what choice do they have?

Corporations don't know what the price of oil will be within a factor of 2. They don't know if the FTSE will be up or down 30% in a year, let alone the NYSE. They don't know if Greece will exist or the EU will self-destruct or if there will be revolutions in the streets of Saudi Arabia. The government uncertainty nonsense is simply nonsense people use to confuse the easily confusable in order to try and control as much wealth as possible. Surprise.

The level of uncertainty in the market is quite high, but it has virtually nothing to do with federal regulation, nor is uncertainty over the US Federal government in any way responsible for ongoing fiscal crisis. It had nothing to do with causing it, and it has nothing to do with sustaining it.
