Band Of Brothers?

I really wish people could evaluate The Pacific on its own terms instead of comparing it to Band Of Brothers. What TV series ISN'T Band Of Brothers "much better" than? You might as well throw out your TV if you are waiting for something to come along to equal or better BOB.
 
Agree with the above, I started watching after catching on the Beeb a couple of years ago, totally absorbing. The HD set is mine when I get a HD TV
 
Band Of Brothers is, in my opinion, one of the best TV shows ever made, it is obvious no expense was spared and the sections of real veterns cut in to the action is extremely interesing, haven't seen any of The Pacific yet but will be getting the Blu-ray in due course, I am hoping for more of the same but will judge it on it's own merits
 
But that's everybody's opinion, including mine.:) My point is, that BOB is so sublime saying something pales compared to it isn't saying much at all, and really is unfair to what is being compared to it.
 
This is such a good point - it took me three re-watches to get all of the characters' names straight in my head - but, trust me, OP - BoB is so outstanding in every possible way that I don't consider a single second of my time went to waste in doing so.
