It depends. Generally, there is a team at your dancing school that you can compete with. Most national, international, open and closed competitions are focused on couples rather than teams, so get yourself a good partner and get practising! However, from our question, it appears that you have only been dancing recreationally for a couple of years, with no serious training. Therefore, it is unlikely that you would be able to compete at such large competitions as you are intending, since the people there have often had superb training from age 5. Also, you are at one of the most competitive ages, since you would be competing at the U16 Junior level, which is the second most difficult level after the U21 Adult level.
