Ball Python question: Really weird, but have any of you had a ball eat it's own poo?

I have a 3 1/2 month female ball python. She is very sweet, but I think she has an odd habit. I had just gotten done talking with my boyfriends best friend who has a 10 year old ball about the fact that I've had her for almost 2 months and she never seems to poop. Well, oddly enough, I came downstairs around 2 am that same night and as I had the light on, I noticed that she had pooped in 2 places. Since it was so early in the morning, my tummy couldn't handle even thinking about cleaning the mess up. So I walked into my kitchen, got a drink, and about 10 minutes later, on my way back up I checked on her again, and one of the spots were missing. I thought it was really odd, but I went to bed anyway. The next morning I came down, and there was no poop in her cage. Since she is the only animal in that cage, she has to be eating it. Is that normal? I am not sure what could cause her to do that. She eats about every 6 days, but always seems like she is hungry. I have already spoke with her vet about that but he said to stick to my guns and don't let her eat too often because she'll end up being fat and unhealthy. Have any other ball owners, or I guess snake owners in general, noticed their babies doing this? Do you think I should call the vet again. I know that I sound like a worried mother, but this is my first snake and I would hate for anything to happen to her because of this habit.
