B Ben White Guest Jun 18, 2008 #1 Been to two mechanics and said I need new ball joints and tension arms. There is groaning coming from steering when turning and going over bumps. How important is it to replace and is there a less expensive option.

If its going to be a yard ornament, then No just park it, place it on blocks in front of the trailer and pile trash in it. Less expensive, NO. Work overtime, a second job, or cut an expense to pay for quality parts and work. Then maintain them and the rest of the vehicle.
