im trying to do the front end of my 92 toyota corolla, on the drivers side, i took the tire off, and in the middle of where all the lug nuts go there is 1 big nut....its a 30MM nut...and i CANT get it off. I have soaked it in WD40, and other things like that....broken 3 ratchets trying to get it off. I have used bars and stuff to make like 3 foot extension for leverage (how i broke the ratchets) 2 wont turn and one of those 2 bent in half, the other one still locks....and then suddenly unlocks sending your tools flying....any idea how i can get this stupid nut off?? is it one of those stupid ones your supposed to turn the oppasite way then a normal one? i tried turning the other way a little but i dont want to strip or break it... help!
ok, i got the stem nut off, and now im working on the CV joint.....i got it almost all the way out, i can see light around it but it just wont go the rest of the way..if i turn the wheel it just pops BACK IN. i tried using one of those claw things to push it out, but it doesnt reach far enough, i even put something in between to make it go further, but the claw only pops off and i have to start all over...is there an easier way?
