bad sharp pains in back of head?

I woke up at 2am this morning with bad sharp pains in the back of my head(right side) It felt like someone was hitting me over the head with a hammer! They hurt so bad I couldn't sleep. I still had them this morning but now they have gone! I didn't have a headache or anything just bad pains in the back of the head-really really bad, the pain was horrible. What could they be. Im scared to go to sleep tonight now in case something bad happens. Ive read up on head pains on the internet and it comes up with things that I don't have! Could they be these Ice prick pains Ive heard of? Very strange. I did slip and fall in my kitchen yesterday but hurt my bottom and not my head but my whole body did fall- and kinda jerk.
Im so frightened. x
