bad knee pain

Wiser with age

New member
Hi everyone,
Im 28 yrs old and have suffered from bad knee joint pain for the past, I'd say, 6 yrs. I have had an x-ray done and also a MRI and nither of them shoed that anything was wrong with my knee. I am so frustrated with this knee problem and it seems that it is getting worse.
It started out to be in one knee but now it is in both of my knees, my right one is alot worse than my left.
Here are some of the symptoms that I am experiencing:
1) cannot keep my knee bent for long periods of time
2) it locks and is painful to 'unlock' it
3) cracks occassionally
4) swollen
5) aches sometimes
Please, if anyone can offer me some advice it would be greatly appreciated! My doctor keeps telling me that nothing is wrong, but that is impossible since it always hurts.
Thanks!!

This may or may not be of any help to you. My 14 year old son was having bad knee pain and it turned out to be his "feet" causing the problem. He was very flat footed and his knees were fine.

It could be inflammation without fluid in the knee area and did not show up on x-ray, mri, etc.

You might have your feet checked to see if all is well in that area.

I have knee pain when walking on treadmill and have found the Mueller bands to work well (bought at Wal-Mart). The bands have a rope like cord in the narrow band that puts pressure on base of kneecap. This keeps my knee cap patella ? ligament from getting stressed and causing pain.

Hi,
My doctor did mention that it could have to do with my feet and the alignment of my knees. I did talk to someone about orthopedics, but they are extremely expensive ($500) and I dont even know if that will solve my problems. Maybe I should try those Muellar bands that you have mentioned Misty800.
