I always get headahces after I play sports for a few hours. I don't get them if I play for less than an hour and a half usually.

But say I go to the rec center and play basketball for 3 hours........= guaranteed headache.

I've always been athletic and into sports so it's not one of those things where I get a headache because I'm not used to the physical activity.

I have always been an active person playing lots of sports and spending lots of time in the heat etc.

Could it be lack of hydration? IDK. Help please.

Hydration is a possibility, make sure to stay well hydrated, especially if you are exercising that excessively.

Your heart speeds up while you exercise, and so does your breathing, in order to increase blood flow to all of your extremities, which have a sudden need for more oxygen. It is possible that this is over stressing the blood vessels in your brain, giving you the pain. I suggest a regular dose of aspirin once a day, this will help pain slightly, and thin your blood. Worse case scenario, you may give yourself an aneurysm (localized bleed) in your brain, and have a much worse problem, or even give yourself a stress-induced air embolism. I think it's hydration, that's your problem. You may have an underlying problem, perhaps anemia or iron defiantly isn't allowing your blood to supply your body with enough oxygen. Iron is a key element that our bodies need, our blood uses it to help bind with the oxygen or carbon dioxide in our bloodstream to bring it where it is needed, to the lungs or out into the body. The technical term for our blood is hemoglobin, hemo meaning iron, and globin meaning protein (you get how important it is).

I may be wrong, I'm only a 17 year old girl in Warren, your doctor will probably have better answers, but I don't think its too serious. Extra water and aspirin are fairly gentle remedies as long as you aren't a total idiot. You may be just overexerting yourself, try taking a break occasionally.
