Bad grades in high school, going to cc for the first two years?

If you do well in community college, your bad high school grades will matter less. Admissions officers at a four year school (if that's your ultimate goal) will assume that you've grown up and are now capable of college level work. If your grades are also poor at the community college level, then you'll have a hard time getting accepted into a four-year program.

If you mean "matter" in terms of transferring to a uni or some other college, yes, your CC grade matters. I'm not sure about high school (I don't think so, though).

You should really talk with your CC adviser and help plan out your next two years. CC's usually have transfer agreement programs, meaning if you meet certain, strict criteria (ex. meet a 3.5 GPA by your 2nd year at CC), you can be guaranteed into the college you want to go to. Again, it varies with each CC, so dig up some info on your own from your particular CC's website, and meet with a CC adviser so 1) You can map what you want to accomplish in the next two years and really hit the ground running and 2) so you can get close with your adviser and have them help you get into the college you want to get into.

Hope this helps.
