I have been on a Bactrim/Tazorac corabination for the past 6 years. I am severly allergic to over-the-counter medications, and had tried several different antiobiotics. Bactrim/Tazorac was the winning corabination (and yes, it took almost exactly 3 months for it to "kick" in). I was the poster child for Bactrim/Tazorac. I had GORGEOUS skin and rarely ever broke out. I even decreased my dosage to one pill a day. On several occasions, people would ask me what I used on my skin to make it so perfect.
Then I went on Yaz (birth control) and it reeked havoc on my face. I now have deep cystic acne all over my chin, cheeks and jawline. I am debating going off birth control because I can't handle the erabarrassment of repulsive skin at this point. It is destroying my self confidence. Clearly, the hormones in the birth control have made the bactrim ineffective? Has anyone else run into this problem? On a regimen and then introduce BC and have it destroy your skin?
