I am getting a lift kit that provides up to 4.5 inches of backspacing on my Jeep, and I am getting wheels with 4.25 inches of backspacing. Will this just keep a positive offset and still be good for my Jeep? I don't know much about how all of it works. Also, I am looking to buy used Dick Cepek wheels that fit 16 inch rims, but my Jeep has 17 inch wheels on it now since the owner before me got a better package when he bought it. However, the stock wheels that should have came on it are only 16 inch. My mechanic said it won't work since I have 17's and Jeep probably changes stuff on the vehicle when people order the bigger wheel package but I don't think that's the case since the 17's rub sometimes.
