I will be landing in Brussels. I need some advice on just about everything. I planed my journey from Brussels to Paris, Paris to Strasbourg, down to Geneva, then to meet my friends in Florence, stay with them for a few days and then see Rome. Then, the next few days to get back up to Brussels and take a ferry from northwest Belgium into England. I just need some advice about hostels, since i will be alone when i look for them, do i get a single room with a single bed or do I just split a room with people? I would prefer splitting a room since i'll be on my own for the most of the time. Is it easy to find hostels last minute? What books or guides would you recommend to make my journey easier? I'm a sociable person, i don't really have any trouble meeting people, so if you could give me experiences/advice that would be great.
