I don't think this used to happen, but the other day I put my phone on silent and left it in my locker and it had around 3-4 bars. When I came back at the end of the day, the backlight was on because I had received texts and my battery life was drained to red. I tested it at home and sure enough, every time I got a text notification, my phone's backlight would turn on and stay on until I pressed a button or moved the trackpad. Also, I've noticed that my phone occasionally won't turn off. When I go to turn it off, it freezes and turns back on until I take the battery out. Is this a problem with the phone or the battery? Is there a setting or something to make the backlight turn off on it's own. It's already set to dim after 8 secs and to turn off after 15. This really is annoying because I can't leave my phone on unattended or on silent, because the next time I check it, the battery is dead.
