I have a 2003 Honda Accord EX with Navigation. It has about 55,000 miles. Recently, the backlight that shows Time and Temperature has been out. It comes on occasionally, but it is mostly out.
I went to the dealership in Tampa FL, and they said that it would cost about $90 to diagnose the problem. Then, they would likely have to replace some circuit board that costs hundreds.
I know there is a Service Bulletin (04-027) that deals with this problem for Accords that do not have a navigation system.
Has anyone heard of this issue in an Accord with a Navigation system? If so, do you have any recommendations? Is there anything I can do to fix it less expensively?
It is such a minor issue that it would not be worth too much for me to fix it. However, it would still be good to have.
