background check? army! military police!?

I need a recruiter or someone in the army or someone who has been thru this to answer my question PLEASE.

I want to join the army. I do not have a criminal history. BUT my husband does. My husband is on probation and has been charged with some felonies. he has done his time and changed his life, but still on probation. Will his criminal record be checked for me to join the army, to live on base, to become a military police office?
