Me and a couple of friends are going hiking and camping in Red River Gorge in KY in a month or so and I was curious as to what is normally done with your camping supplies while out hiking? Is there some unspoken code of honor among back country campers that they don't mess with anyone elses gear or is it common practice to pack up all your gear in the morning and store it in a hiking pack and take it with you?
This will be our first time camping in back country where rangers probably wont be around patrolling unlike some campgrounds near high traffic areas.
