i have for many years suffered with acne on my back ...but the main reason is in the winter my back acne really flares up and is so sore ,but in the summer months i have no acne what so ever it seems to just disapear...why ?.....


i have been to my doctor and was put on tetracyline my god i was on that for about 8 months and it never even worked ..went back to doctors and was put on oxtetracycline ..well that didn't work either ....


i eat healthy and excersise regular but i still have no answers to why this is happening .....


if anyone has similar probs like me let me know cheers

I have not experience acne on my back but my main guess is that your skin is lacking moisture on your back especially in the winter time because in the summer time you probably take your shirt off more than you do in the winter time. If that makes sense!

I would change whatever shower wash you use and try neutrogena wash or something that may help it clear up. I don't use any soap on my back usually so maybe just changing up your routine will help and Moisturize it!

I just got off the phone with my sons' dermatologist office. 16 yo has severe acne on his back/shoulder blade area. I was told to get benzoyl peroxide at 5 to 8%. No particular brand - could even be store brand they said. It's too harsh for the face but would be great for his back. going to get some tonight. I'll keep you posted on how he does.
