Hi,History:
3 discectomies at l5 s1 level.
Had CT scan which showed the disc was out again, went back to neurosurgeon and he talked about fusion. He then ordered a MRI.That showed bilateral impingment on that nerve, once again fusion issue was spoke about .Then he ordered an x ray with forward and backward flexion, and Nerve conduction studies.
I recently had those test done,The ncs tech said the l5 s1 nerve was pretty good.
My question is How can that test be o.k. when I have back pain and leg pain, nurabness, tingling.I feel the same now has I did before my first surgery.I am confused. What do the surgeon base their decisions on,The MRI and CT results or solely on the Neve conduction studies.
