You may want to check with a Dr to make sure your disc is not in a position to do more damage if you do excercises. Rest will help and possibly stretching but nerve pain is tricky and you should see a Dr before doing PT or Chiropractic, or starting excercises. Sciatic pain and down to your feet may be caused by the L5S1 or L4L5 discs pressing on the nerves. Anytime there is nerve pain you should get it looked into you do not want to have permanent damage.
Thanks...I am seeing a spine specialist who has ordered a new MRI and put me on Lyrica 50mgs 3 X day, but it's not doing a thing. The 2nd MRI I had in March really helped a lot the back and even the feet, but didn't last but 3 mos. thanks again.
