About a year ago I had what seemed to me to be a kidney infection, throbbing pain in the area of my right kidney. I went to the Dr. and did have an infection so was put on antibiotics. The pain subsided. Off and on all summer I would have the pain, sometimes I had an infection, othertimes not. In October I went in for an abdominal ultrasound, looking for kidney stones, but they also checked the other abdominal organs. Everything looked ok, no stones. The pain has been much less for the last few months, but this week it started up in earnest again. I can't get into the Dr. for 5 days so thought I would check here. I'm begining to think the pain may be in the ribs right over the kidneys. Anybody know what this pain could be? (BTW, I'm female, age 50, in pretty good shape.)
