I have been having low back pain for the past three months. What medicine or drug is good for treatment.

ayojesu,

I am sorry to hear of your low back pain issues, but be aware that you are not alone on this board and there are many of us who are fellow sufferers.

Have you seen a doctor about your low back pain? If not, that would probably be a good first step to get the correct guidance and medication and/or treatment.

Do you have pain or nurabness going down one of your legs or other problems or just pain in your lower back? Low back pain can be caused by muscle strains, narrowing of the spinal canal, disc problems, or other causes.

As long as there aren't critical issues present, most doctors prefer to treat low back pain with conservative measures for quite a while before taking more aggressive action such as surgery, and most low back pain cases don't require surgery. Conservative measures would include physical therapy, accupuncture, chiropractic, epidural injections, ibuprofin or other NSAIRAB, etc.

Again, however, it would be best to talk to a doctor first to determine what course of action they would recommend for you, and whether or not you need diagnostic tests now or sometime in the future.

Good luck and keep us informed of your progress!

Brenda
