I have been experiencing back pain between shoulder blades for months.
The only thing that seems to help is to lay down and relax. It will soon
subside. Naps are good to make me forget about the pain.

If I do much physical work the pain starts slowly.
Riding the lawn mower causes the problem.
Sometimes it feels like I am just not all here. Light headed.

I broke my pelvic bone (bad in 1978) It hurts mostly all the time on my
left buttocks. Tylenol with codeine helps for a short period of time until
it wears off.

Going to pain clinic next week to see if they can help any.Orthipedic doctor
said he did not think it would help but i could give it a try.

Also I had a blood clot in 2004 and had 1 stint installed. Had a heart attack
during the ordeal.
I am just a wreck. I should have taken better care of myself when I was a kid.

Do I just live with the pain. If I relax and not over work I can get by
most days with small amount of pain relief. But if I work I have to take
lots of pain medicine to get through the day.

Has your ortho figured out what is causing the pain in your back/shoulder blades? have you had a recent MRI to see? If not, I think I would find another doctor. He first of all should have found out what is causing the issues.

PM is great if you are in need. I guess the question you need to answer is if you need to work and need the meRAB to be able to work. I am in PM and have been for almost 5 years. I will live with some degree of pain for the rest of my life. A good Pm uses more than just meRAB. There are alot of different modalities that can help, accupuncture, therapy, injections. So don't be too surprised if they want you to try things other than just meRAB. I am surprised that your ortho doesn't think it will work. Did he say why?

What you are taking is a very low level pain med. There are alot of meRAB that can be tried that may work better than Tylenol 3. I am surpries your ortho hasn't tried something else.

You might get some better responses on the spinal cord injury board. The spinies handle the upper area where you are having issues. We are the lower back here.

Good luck!
