Back pain and leg weakness(try this again)

Hi all I have been on here before:) I posted the other night and I had to redo my email and such again after another try ugh, anyway I have posted before under in the past as monkey5! I am hoping to get some insight on if it's possible to have this leg weakness with my back pain? It's bad. The problem is that it's below my knees. Of course I have the pain down my leg still along the sciatic nerve on the left but it will stop before the knee and then start again below. Any help/ advice would be great and yes of course i'm still struggling with answers:) with dr.s still going down the same road, lot's always going on!

Janiee, no I haven't ever had any kind of surgery.I have had epidural injections in the past but have always had the leg weakness before that. As time goes by it get's worse and worse. My dr. I see now does nothing. I am thinking about going back to the pain clinic though even though the dr. there said he could do no more for me there other than do my meRAB because maybe he could at least refer me out to a different specialist or something like he mentioned in the past. The only problem there is that the one specialist he did send me to once wanted to have me possibly do the spine stimulator and i opted out on that . The reason being was because the fact that I am in pain but the pain in mechanical more so with activiity. So kinda like if I dont do a whole lot then I can manange alot of my pain with my level of activity with my pain meRAB, if I over do it then that's when I run into trouble. I would love to be more active of course but I guess it's the worry of not knowing the unknown if it would work! And the nerve pain ugh, Once I get the back going the nerve pain gets going to add to it and then sometimes I can;'t even move my leg or my whole left side of my body. I hope this all makes sense? The foot surgeon says that my foot and leg will never be better until they fix my back go figure.
