I suffer considerable back pain after sleepless nights, i see the chiropractor once a month, I'm overweight but active and excercise, i take sleep meRAB every night to sleep or i will not sleep at all, and barely be able to get out of bed in the am, i have bought a new bed last year. It seems to be mostly lower back pain and/or hips. Don't know what else to do. the chirpractor does help for alittle while, a few days maybe, untill the next sleepless night. I have jobs where i sit alot, computer or truck. Help...

Try putting pillows or a wedge under your knees so that the pressure on your back is releaved. You might find that this will help.

I personally wouldn't use a chiro because as you have found it isn't solving your problem. Have you been into your doctor? I would think that that is the first step in hopes that your doctor will issue an MRI to see if there is osmething wrong with your back. Losing weight will also help as it takes the pressure off of your back. I didn't really believe this til I dropped 30 lbs.

I agree that a chiropractor is not the best choice until you've had a full review such as an MRI with a consultation with an orthopedic spine surgeon and/or neurosurgeon. While chiropractors can help in some situations, often all they do is x-rays. MRI reveal much more and you could possibly see an orthopedic spine surgeon and/or neurosurgeon to see if chiropractic care is appropriate and exactly what may be causing your pain.
