honestly? you really do need to obtain an MRI, with contrast preferrably just to really 'see' more in depth down to that very important spinal cord level. the one really bad thing about chiro adjustments is that they are basically a 'blind' adjustment? meaning they cannot actually "see" what it is they are really doing to the spine or cord area when they "move things"? in some cases chiros can help, but in others depending upon what you actually had going on before adjustments were made and any possible 'wrong' movements can really do alot more harm than good.
just having known people and others who have posted in the spinal boards here and in my own particular situation, anyone who is contemplating even SEEING a chiro just truely NEEDS that one solid MRI done before even going that route just so you and the chiro are aware of whats going on down TO that spinal cord level. i had whats called a cavernous hemangioma that i did not even know i had(was born with it i guess) sitting right in the middle of my actual spinal cord way up in c 7 t 1 level? i was told by the neurosurgeon who ended up having to actually remove that glob from my cord, that if i HAD actually gone thru the chiro for any real adjustments, with what i had, it would have most definitely casued a more severe bleed in my cord than i already had there. probably would have paralyzed me from the chest on down. that scared the crap outta me. no one really treuly knows what is actually going on inside their own bodies anywhere really until you get at least a good level of deep scan done on any given area.
but at this point, you just really DO need to get an MRI done just to really see what could have been there alreeady that could have become a bit more impactful because of adjustments or something that could have occured FROM the adjustments as well. the thing here is, you really cannot properly treat what you have not yet found out you even have, ya know? you also really don't know if what was creating that knee pain is/was actually from a low back issue or something 'just' within that knee either.
when you say you had a 'bum knee that was not 'healing'? what exactly did you mean? was it actually injured in some way or just painful? what symptoms did you have before the chiro popped in to 'help'? has that knee ever been MRIed? FB
